Before you are quite difficult, but very wise, deep and poetic tales of the Latvian writer Imants Ziedonis. Each tale is similar to a prose poem, and therefore ideal for reading aloud. I want to close my eyes and listen, and imagine a lonely Blue horse, yellow chickens under the yellow sun and the brave little Little Dust. The fairy tales were translated by the famous writer Yuri Koval, whose name is a sign of quality in children's literature. Illustrations by the magnificent artist Sergei Kovalenkov completely immerse us in the magical and slightly surreal world of Ziedonis’s fairy tales.
