Dragos Kalajić (1943 - 2005) was born in occupied Belgrade and took his first steps in life, in his own words, “under the bombs of democracy” - at the time of massive Anglo-American air raids on residential areas of the city. In 1994, during the fifteen-day bombing of the capital of the Bosnian Serbs by NATO aircraft (it was then that the Americans first used depleted uranium warheads on Balkan soil), he was in Pale - on the front line, as befits a soldier. This man always fought to the end. The fact that Serbia is surrounded by a heroic aura in the eyes of many Russian people is also his merit.
