The third volume of this Collected Works includes M. Bulgakov’s early prose: stories, short stories and feuilletons of the 20s. The basis of the volume, of course, is the stories “Diaboliad”, “Fatal Eggs” and “Heart of a Dog”. Particular attention is paid to M. Bulgakov’s work on the text of the story “The Heart of a Dog”. The volume is provided with an extensive commentary.
