1889. England, Devonshire. People die from the fangs of the devil's dog in the swamps. 2020 Tambov forests, the ghost of the ruined swamps, an eerie howl, the torn bodies of victims. Fleeing the pandemic, screenwriter Ilya Samburov leaves the capital for a remote province in search of a plot for a new series. He was invited to visit by his long-time friend Anton Zavyalov, who works as a doctor in a small village. On its outskirts there is a gloomy estate “Old Elms” - you couldn’t find a better place for filming a future film. In addition, the first owner of the estate was found dead in the alley, near the body there were traces of a huge dog. Ilya became interested in the legend of a beast that comes from the swamps in bad weather and kills people. Local residents consider him an evil spirit. Who will be the first to track down the beast - the werewolf hunters or the screenwriter Samburov? And what terrible secret does “Old Elms” keep?
