A chance meeting turned the quiet life of the unremarkable aspiring poet Seva Bakeikin upside down: in a noisy, motley crowd of gypsies, he saw a girl whose beauty struck him to the very heart. Life with a young gypsy Katya, indifferent to everyday life and the benefits of civilization, turned out to be difficult. But Seva is quite happy - if not for Katya’s numerous relatives who filled his apartment. The poet's brother Nikolai helps Seva get rid of the uninvited guests, but...
