Drawing on new, previously unknown sources, the author recreates a broad picture of the life of Rus' during the reign of Alexander Nevsky. Considerable attention is also paid to the history of the veneration of the saint and noble prince in Russia of the 13th–20th centuries, as well as the literary history of the Life of Alexander Nevsky.
