This book is the result of enormous work, observations, research and lifelong experience of Leo Kofler (1837-1908), an Austrian singer, organist, and teacher. The author not only creates his own breathing method and a set of breathing exercises that allow him to keep his voice in good shape, but also examines in detail such necessary elements of singing and speech as phonetics and articulation, offering his own systems for improving them. The book will be of interest to vocalists, speakers, announcers, actors, students of music and theater schools, as well as a wide range of readers.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
