The “Ports Of Call/Lurulu” duology was written in 1993 and is the last novel by Jack Vance. The book was translated into Russian only in 2016 by the American Russian-speaking translator Alexander Fet and was never published in Russia either in paper or electronic form.
The boy Myron Taney dreamed of space exploration. In his imagination, he wandered into distant dust clusters and galaxies. But Myron's parents insisted that he study economics, and Myron obediently resigned himself. He was helped by Aunt Hester, an energetic woman who inherited her late husband's wealth. When Hester learned about the existence of her husband's space yacht, Myron found the opportunity to realize his dreams of adventure.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
