“The Chronicles of Bustos Domecq” is a famous literary hoax, the authors of which were the outstanding Argentine writers J. L. Borges (1899 - 1986) and A. B. Casares (1914 - 1999). This bizarre collection of quasi-reviews reflects the stylistic mastery of the prose writers in all their splendor. In addition to the Chronicles, the book includes another remarkable creation by O. B. Domecq: “Beyond Good and Evil.” The book is introduced by an extract from the “Autobiographical Notes” of X. L. Borges, outlining the history of the emergence of an amazing literary tandem and the circumstances of its appearance on the light of God by O. B. Domek. All works are presented in translation by Evgenia Mikhailovna Lysenko. The book is designed for the widest audience.
