The manual presents a detailed clinical, psychological and pedagogical characteristics of children in the first year of life. The features of the gradual formation of all lines of psychomotor development in them are considered. A screening system for examining children in the first year of life is presented. For children lagging behind in psychomotor development, a system of corrective measures has been developed, including speech therapy massage, breathing and vocal exercises, stimulation of emotional, vocal and pre-speech communication, promoting the development of visual and auditory perception, hand-eye coordination and speech understanding.
