Here are three short texts by Bob Black, the genre of which oscillates between review and satirical sketch. Black loves controversy and is an ace at it. But what is characteristic is that often the objects of his satirical criticism are authors who seem to be ideologically close to him, and one of his books was even called “Friendly Fire.” It is the momentary public discussion, reviews, open letters that are an incessant school of witty slander, in which Black has long been not a student, but a teacher of the highest class.
