In 2015, a Hollywood film was released that changed the idea of how movies can be made: in the thriller “Unfriend”, all that the audience saw was a computer screen. The film took place on the desktop among folders and open tabs on the Internet, social networks and search engines. Director and producer Timur Bekmambetov came up with the idea of transferring our lives to the cinema on the screens of devices - computers and smartphones; he also gave the name to the new film format - screenlife. Since then, films in the new format have collected tens of millions of dollars at the global box office and awards at the most prestigious film festivals in the world - from Berlinale to Sundance. In this book, screenlife ideologist Timur Bekmambetov, together with Russian and Hollywood colleagues, will tell you how to create cinema on your screen computer and phone - from idea and script to filming and editing.
