The collection of documents reflects the post-war fate of Marshal Zhukov, full of drama. Already in 1946, he fell into Stalin’s disgrace; in 1957, at the height of his fruitful work as Minister of Defense, he became a victim of a party-nomenklatura conspiracy led by Khrushchev, and only in 1999 was Marshal Zhukov posthumously completely rehabilitated. The documents in the collection recorded the most complex twists and turns in Russian history of the post-war period.
