Kama Sutra (Sanskrit: कामसूत्र) is an ancient Indian text dedicated to the theme of kama - the sphere of sensual, emotional life, lust and love. The Kama Sutra builds on numerous previous works in the field of kamashastra - the science of kama and, due to its completeness and systematicity, is considered by many to be the seminal work in this area in Sanskrit literature. The author of the text is Vatsyayana. The full title of this work is “Vatsyana Kama Sutra” (“Vatsyayana’s Instruction on Kama”). It is believed that the author lived in the 3rd-4th centuries AD. e., probably in the Gupta era.
Sections: The Kama Sutra contains 64 chapters, collected in 49 parts, combined into 7 sections. Sections of the Kama Sutra: 1. General (5 chapters) - about love in general, its place in a person’s life.2. About love connection (15 chapters) - an in-depth analysis of kissing, various types of foreplay, orgasm, a list of sexual positions, oral sex, paraphilias, as well as love triangle situations (family of three - husband, wife and husband's mistress).3. On the treatment of girls (9 chapters) - courtship and wedding.4. Regarding married women (8 chapters) - about relationships in the family between husbands and wives, how wives should behave.5. About other people's wives (10 chapters) - mainly about seduction.6. About hetaeras (9 chapters).7. Secret instruction (6 chapters) - on how to charm others and restore attraction.
