Three months ago I got a job as a bartender. But not to an ordinary bar, but to a guild. Yes, to the Mages Guild. I'm not a cool magician like my three hot best friends. I am not a sorcerer or an alchemist, or even a witch. I'm only human: I pour drinks like a professional and don't stick my non-magical nose into magical matters. So why am I now standing in a ritual circle of black magic opposite a faerie lord? Why are three of my mage friends fighting for their lives behind me, and next to my feet is a wandering witch whom I knocked out with a stolen spell? Good questions. But before I can answer them, I need to convince a very angry sea god not to squash me like a bug. I'm pretty sure that wasn't part of the bartender's job description.
