This time the new anthology of the "Best" series contains stories about wizards written by such masters as Tom Holt, Michael Moorcock, Ursula Le Guin, Doug Hornig and other talented authors. Many stories are published for the first time, some were written specifically for this collection. Magic takes on different guises. In this anthology you will meet witches, sorcerers, warlocks, and spell casters. There are even computer wizards. They can control human feelings and destinies, dragons and natural elements. They are all very different, only there are few good wizards among them. Magic and sorcery give their owners almost unlimited power. Such power is too great a temptation to stay within the framework of human morality and not do some dirty tricks in a bad mood. Or adjust the surrounding reality in accordance with your (often very original) ideas about good and evil. Apparently, this is why most wizards are not the most pleasant people to talk to. And sometimes they are not people at all.

For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
