Historian of philosophy Dmitry Khaustov invites the reader on a fascinating excursion into the world of literature of the beat generation. Автор вміло поєднує глибокі дослідження з живим стилем письма, що робить читання не лише пізнавальним, але й надзвичайно захоплюючим. Хаустов детально аналізує вплив трійці "Керуак – Гінзберг – Берроуз" на формування американської ідентичності та мрії, наводячи численні приклади з історії та культури. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, загальна якість викладу і глибина думки компенсують ці моменти. Ця книга стане чудовим доповненням до бібліотеки кожного, хто прагне зрозуміти не лише біт-покоління, але й саму суть американської культури.
