Автор майстерно передає атмосферу безнадії та боротьби за виживання, коли сім'я, позбавлена дому, намагається знайти притулок у небезпечному світі. Шлях через тайгу, сповнений небезпек, створює напружений сюжет, який тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Особливо вражає образ Кікімори, яка, незважаючи на всі труднощі, проявляє неймовірну силу духу та рішучість у боротьбі за своїх дітей. Однак, варто зазначити, що текст книги перекладено з використанням штучного інтелекту, і хоча загалом переклад якісний, іноді зустрічаються не зовсім коректні фрази.
