Еллері Квін, як головний герой, вражає своєю інтелектуальною проникливістю та здатністю розгадувати навіть найскладніші загадки. Читачі можуть насолоджуватися не лише самим процесом розслідування, а й емоціями, які переживають герої під час розкриття злочинів. Незважаючи на те, що текст був перекладений за допомогою штучного інтелекту, якість перекладу в більшості випадків залишається на високому рівні, і лише незначні недоліки не псують загальне враження.
