However, the events, settings and characters are certainly fictitious. Coincidences of names and titles with the names and names of real-life persons and places can only be coincidental. Turetsky again got a dangerous and complicated case: the murder of an American journalist of Russian origin, Peter Zernov, editor-in-chief of an international magazine published in Russia under the name “World and Country”. If it is usually difficult for an investigator to find a suspect, then here there are too many suspects. But the “Golden Hundred” - the hundred richest people in Russia, whose names Zernov dared to publish in his magazine - have special reasons for hatred. After all, with numbers in hand, he managed to prove that the capital with which the “Golden Hundred” is lavishing in a poor country is, in fact, just other people’s money.
