Yesterday's street child, who moved from his native 21st century to Kievan Rus, becomes a powerful prince. Having matured in battles, Ivan wisely rules Galich. His principality is growing richer, his subjects are happy. But the “homeless” prince himself is dissatisfied. Not everything he planned was successful. The Middle Ages dictate its own rules of the game, and, taking advantage of the situation, Ivan captures Volyn. This angers his longtime enemy, the Grand Duke of Kyiv Svyatoslav. Only the invasion of the Polovtsians, unprecedented in scale, stops the civil strife. Svyatoslav decides to forget the enmity and call Ivan for help. After all, only the Galician-Volyn prince owns a terrible weapon: fire-breathing smoke snakes.

Книга "Безпритульний князь" вразила мене своєю оригінальною концепцією та захоплюючим сюжетом. Історія про Івана, колишнього безпритульника, який став могутнім князем у Київській Русі, відкриває нові горизонти для читача. Автор майстерно поєднує елементи фентезі з історичними фактами, що робить оповідь ще більш захопливою. Я був вражений розвитком персонажа Івана, його боротьбою за владу та спробами знайти своє місце у світі, де панують зовсім інші правила. Сюжет наповнений інтригами, битвами та емоційними моментами, які тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки перекладу, які незначно впливають на загальне враження, книга залишає по собі глибокий слід. Рекомендую всім, хто любить історичні романи з елементами фентезі та захоплюючими пригодами!
