Cosmonaut Prokhor Ilyin is resting on Earth. The old planet lives a new life. Its air, water, forests, fields and mountains went through healing. The land is in perfect condition. It became a sanatorium and school for astronauts. Prokhor Ilyin visits the Big Museum, stops at the bell tower of the Church of the Crucifixion, from which the servant Nikita, having attached wooden wings to his hands, flew to the river bank. Prokhor Ilyin spent his previous vacation in the Kazakh city of Arkalyk, where capsules with astronauts from the ISS were met in the 21st century. Prokhor Ilyin receives a message from space in which he learns that in the Urals a Red Book bird, the goshawk, once needed help. He treats the injured bird. This is the 200th year since Yuri Gagarin's space flight.
