Sigert Patursson, a native of the Faroe Islands, describes his journey through Siberia, which he undertook in 1889–1895. The author provides data on the geography, ethnography, culture, and economy of Siberia at the end of the 19th century, describes the customs and customs of its indigenous peoples, and talks in naturalistic detail about his participation in the rituals of sacrifice and shamanism. The book was first published in 1901 in Copenhagen in Danish, republished in 1994 in Faroese. This edition continues the series of books “For the First Time in Russian”, published by the Paulsen publishing house. The publishing layout of the book is preserved in PDF A4 format.
