Книга "Довгий" вражає своєю здатністю перенести читача в епоху, коли країна переживала один з найскладніших періодів своєї історії. Описані події червня 1921 року, коли громадянська війна вже майже закінчилася, але наслідки її все ще відчуваються, створюють атмосферу тривоги та невизначеності. Автор майстерно передає картину розрухи, криміналу та безпритульності, що панують на вулицях. Особливо вражає те, як він зображує життя звичайних людей, які намагаються вижити в цих складних умовах. Хоча деякі біографії історичних особистостей змінені, це не заважає загальному сприйняттю твору. Переклад, хоч і має деякі недоліки, все ж передає емоції та думки авторських персонажів. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цікавиться історією та соціальними змінами, адже вона відкриває нові грані розуміння того, що переживала країна в той час.
