Його образ злодія, який дотримується своїх принципів і не боїться кидати виклик системі, викликає повагу та симпатію. Автор майстерно створює атмосферу напруги, коли Кулик опиняється в безвихідній ситуації, і читачі разом з ним переживають всі труднощі та небезпеки. Сюжет сповнений несподіваних поворотів, які тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має незначні недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією.
