Since then, the good doctor has experienced many incarnations. So, for example, in Russia he is better known as Doctor Aibolit - after all, it was the hero of Lofting who served as the prototype for the poetic fairy tales of Korney Chukovsky. But even under his English surname, the doctor is also well known among us thanks to numerous translations of Lofting’s books. And this edition offers one of the best translations of the good doctor’s story into Russian. Doctor Dolittle also appeared on the screen a long time ago, but every new film adaptation arouses keen interest.
