"Lights" is an epic novel by the famous Ukrainian writer Ostap Vyshny about the attempt of communist ideology to change natural human feelings and attitude to life. In the center of events is the hero Yura, who is forced to choose between his own convictions and the vagaries of ideology, giving up the most valuable thing in his life for the sake of the latter.
