This book was written by our enemy. Ray Steiner Cline was on the front lines of the Cold War to establish the global dominance of the collective West until the 1970s, serving at the pinnacle of his career as Deputy Director of the CIA (1962-1966) and Chief of Intelligence. State Department (1969–1973). Much space in the book is devoted to the description and justification of the “covert operations” of Western intelligence services. Behind this streamlined formulation were hidden actions to exert psychological influence on the enemy society. In the USSR, which stood in their way, the same operations were called more specifically - ideological sabotage.
