This book presents the history of relations between two great countries through the prism of love, family, and family ties of those who ruled these empires. Over the course of two centuries, thirty-seven dynastic marriage alliances were concluded between the House of Romanov and various ruling German dynasties (eight German princesses became empresses in Russia).
