The Story of Anne Shirley is a literary mini-series for girls. 6 novels about the life of Anne Shirley are divided into three books - two novels per book. In the first novel by Lucy Montgomery, set in Canada at the end of the 19th century, we meet the main character, red-haired Anne Shirley. Of course, she considers herself unlucky - after all, she has carrot-colored hair, but it is thanks to a happy accident that eleven-year-old Anne ends up from an orphanage to the small Greengable farm in Avonlea. Over time, Ann becomes a full member of a small family and finds a friend. And only the color of her hair gives her a lot of trouble. In the second novel, we meet Anne again, she is already sixteen. She's a charming girl with sparkling gray eyes, but her red hair still gives her a lot of trouble. Soon she becomes a school teacher, and two more children from the orphanage appear in Greengable

Книга "Історія Енн Шірлі" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Люсі Монтгомері майстерно створила світ, в якому живе рудоволоса дівчинка, що мріє про пригоди та щастя. Енн Шірлі - це персонаж, який вражає своєю енергією, оптимізмом і незламним духом. Її шлях від сирітського притулку до ферми Грінгейбл наповнений емоціями, сміхом і навіть сльозами. Я була в захваті від того, як автор зумів передати всі труднощі, з якими стикається Енн через свій колір волосся, і як вона вчиться приймати себе такою, якою є.
