Crushed, almost homeless and recently fired. These were my reasons for applying for the bartending position. It all went downhill when they asked me to stay for a trial shift instead of an interview to see if I could handle their “special” customers. I think it went great. Their customers were assholes, and I was the same in return. So I merged with them, right? I thought they would kick me out for this. But they... offered me a job? It turned out that it was not a bar, but a guild. And the three handsome guys I doused with margarita on the first evening turned out to be magicians. Either I'm the kind of bartender this guild needs, or there's a reason why no one else wants to work there. So what's an upset girl to do? Take the job, of course, especially when it pays well.
