The third book by Alexei Sherstobitov, a legend of the underworld of the 90s nicknamed Lesha the Soldier, is not a continuation of the scandalous autobiographical bestseller in two volumes “The Liquidator”. Quite the contrary! This novel is an attempt to analyze the decisions made and actions of the characters, who are based on real people whom the author met at different times. Basically, all situations owe their beginning to something that happened once and was included in the materials of criminal cases, to which Alexey Sherstobitov was directly related. In the form of a continuation - possible developments of events that did not find their embodiment in the past. The “third” book, which could have become the “first”, had the author made a different choice at the very beginning of his criminal past. But... As you know, the serious and quick need to make a life-determining decision, however, like history, does not tolerate the subjunctive mood. And yet... There is no evil - we create it ourselves, often believing it to be fair, necessary, or simply accepting it as good, which is how we pave our way to hell.
