The Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum is the only museum in the United States dedicated exclusively to historical and contemporary design and the world's largest collection of decorative arts. The unique collection consists of 250 thousand items and represents the history of world design from the 6th century BC to the present. Rare graphic sketches, collections of ceramics, glass and porcelain, furniture and textiles, household items, products of the world's largest design brands, rarities of science and technology - all this tells about the aesthetic development of civilization over more than twenty-six centuries of its history.
