Книга "Вовчий млин" занурює читача в атмосферу Франції кінця 19 століття, де юна Клер Руа, з її непокірним духом та відданістю, стає символом боротьби за власне щастя. Автор майстерно передає емоції героїв, їхні внутрішні переживання та прагнення до свободи. Взаємини між Клер і Жаном настільки захоплюючі, що ви не зможете відірватися від сторінок, сподіваючись на їхнє щасливе завершення. Вовченя, яке Клер врятувала, додає сюжету особливого шарму та символізує вірність і відданість. Однак, не обійшлося і без недоліків: переклад тексту, хоч і якісний, іноді містить не зовсім коректні фрази, що може трохи відволікати від читання. Проте, це не зменшує загального враження від книги.
