Two comedians Laura Lane and Ellen Hawn re-read children's fairy tales and discovered that outrageous things happen in them: without asking consent, princes kiss unfamiliar sleeping girls, one woman serves a family of seven men, wolves chase their victims in the forest, stepmother- an abuser abuses his young stepdaughter. In addition, the plots are replete with violence, and all the heroes are cisgender white men and women.
