Wilhelm Aleksandrovich Sorgenfrey (1882–1938) was known to poetry lovers for many years as a brilliant translator of Heine, and most importantly, as one of the four “true friends” of Alexander Blok. Only 50 years after the execution, the fabricated “Leningrad writing case” began return to the reader the best lyrical poems of the poet. This publication includes: V. Sorgenfrey’s only lifetime collection “Holy Saturday” (Pb., 1922), memoir prose from the journal “Notes of Dreamers” for 1922, dedicated to the memory of A. Blok, and an article L. Chertkova “V. A. Sorgenfrey is Blok’s companion.”
