This book contains legends of deep antiquity. They were composed by the ancient Greeks back in those distant times, when people were just beginning to study the world around them, just beginning to study and explain it. Combining truth and fiction, they invented and told amazing stories. This is how many legends arose about gods, heroes and fantastic creatures - legends that naively explain the structure of the world and the fate of people.
