The fate of the young Czech Marketa was predetermined from her very birth. To the town where Marketa lived, the illegitimate son of Emperor Rudolf II, Don Julius, who was subject to terrible attacks of madness, was brought for treatment. He needed medicinal bloodletting, which was to be performed by the local barber, Marketa’s father. However, the unpredictable happened - the king’s son was inflamed with an insane passion for a pretty commoner. Marketa decided to use this feeling to restore sanity to the patient. Everyone around her unanimously told her that crazy people couldn't be trusted. But the girl didn’t listen to them...

Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які, безумовно, помітні, це не зменшує загального враження від книги. Я рекомендую цю історію всім, хто любить глибокі та емоційні романи, адже вона залишає по собі слід у серці та розумі. Чудова робота автора!
