Ця книга про Сомерсета Моема - справжнє відкриття для всіх, хто цікавиться життям та творчістю видатних особистостей. Автор вдало зібрав факти з життя Моема, які показують, як різноманітним і насиченим було його існування. Читач має можливість зануритися в світ, де переплітаються творчість, любов, подорожі та історичні події, що формували особистість письменника. Особливо вражає той факт, що, попри всі труднощі, він зміг стати self-made man, досягши успіху в літературі та інших сферах. Додаток з дорожніми нарисами, які раніше не публікувалися російською мовою, додає ще більше цінності цій книзі. Хоча переклад не завжди ідеальний, це не заважає насолоджуватися захоплюючими історіями та думками Моема. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто хоче дізнатися більше про життя одного з найвідоміших англійських письменників XX століття!
