Literature lovers are well aware of the original voice of the Gomel writer Vasil Tkachev. He is the author of many books for children and adults, his works are constantly published on the pages of republican newspapers and magazines. The writer’s new book, translated into Russian, consists of the best stories from the previously published books “Tratnik” and “Snooker”, which were warmly received by the Belarusian reader. The author remains true to his main theme - love and devotion to his small homeland - the village. His characters are sometimes bored in everyday life, they want something bright, unusual, mysterious, distant. People call such people “eccentrics,” and Vasil Tkachev writes about them with love and warmth, without at all trying to reproach them for his actions.
