Історія Кетлін Саммерз, яка змушена провести рік на ранчо у Вайомінгу, спочатку здається простою, але поступово розкривається як захоплююча подорож самовідкриття та справжнього кохання. Автор майстерно описує не лише природу, але й емоційний стан героїв, що дозволяє читачеві відчути всі переживання Кетлін. Взаємодія між нею та ковбоєм Уейдом Барклі настільки реалістична та чуттєва, що важко не закохатися в їхню історію. Хоча переклад тексту має деякі недоліки, загальна якість оповіді та емоційна зарядженість компенсують ці недоліки.
