Ларрі МакМертрі майстерно описує пригоди капітана Вудро Колла, який, ставши мисливцем за головами, занурюється в небезпечну гру, що веде його через безжальні простори Заходу. Персонажі глибоко прописані, їхні внутрішні конфлікти та стосунки додають емоційної глибини сюжету.
