Fifteen-year-old Aura Ambrose is hiding one secret from everyone. Her mother, a talented artist and art teacher, is slowly losing her mind, and Aura is the only one who knows about it because her father abandoned them years ago. The conviction grows within Aura that her own artistic talent will inevitably lead her to madness. However, the deeper the mother plunges into the darkness of mental illness, the more Aura’s imagination draws her themes for paintings and demands their implementation.
