Книга "Клуб «Алібі»" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Автор, Франсін Метьюз, майстерно поєднує історичні факти з вигаданими персонажами, створюючи захоплюючий сюжет, який тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Головні герої — американський юрист, манекенниця, джазова співачка, власниця виноградників та британський дипломат — кожен з них має свій унікальний характер і мотивацію, що робить їх надзвичайно цікавими. Боротьба між американською та німецькою розвідками за контроль над ядерними технологіями на фоні фашистської окупації Парижа створює напружену атмосферу, яка не відпускає читача. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, я не помітила значних недоліків у якості перекладу, що свідчить про високий рівень роботи. Книга спонукає до роздумів про моральні дилеми, з якими стикаються герої, і про ціну, яку вони готові заплатити за свої переконання.
