Книга "Скандал у маєтку Грейстоун" вразила мене своєю глибиною і емоційною напругою. Автор майстерно створює атмосферу епохи, в якій відбуваються події, і дозволяє читачеві зануритися у світ соціальних норм та обмежень. Джейн, старша сестра, є дуже симпатичним персонажем, чия внутрішня боротьба між почуттями до Марка та обов'язком перед родиною викликає справжнє співчуття. Її відданість і самопожертва змушують задуматися про цінність щастя і права на любов. Сюжет наповнений несподіваними поворотами, які тримають у напрузі до самого кінця. Хоча переклад не завжди ідеальний, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією, адже емоції і переживання героїв передані дуже яскраво.
