Three years ago, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. Because of this, she often got into trouble. Her mother, an ordinary person, helped her as much as she could, sometimes consulting Sophie's father, an elusive European sorcerer. But when Sophie attracts too much attention due to a botched prom spell, her father decides to send her to Sorcerer's School, an isolated reform school for gifted teenagers, i.e. witches, fairies, and werewolves.
