Anna Yakovleva’s book “Chronicles of Diving Eros” is a non-fiction documentary prose about the fate of ordinary women in the territory of the former USSR, who found themselves at the breaking point of their usual way of life and facing the challenges of new times. The book is dedicated to the Russian code of sexuality, understood as a cultural and spiritual code, and is written on the basis of frank personal letters and oral confessions of our contemporaries. The creation of the book was inspired by the American bestseller “The Vagina Monologues” by the American writer Eve Enzler, which was translated into many languages of the world and staged in theaters in different countries, including Russia. Anna Yakovleva’s book was published in the USA in 2011 under the title “Monologues of the Russian Vagina.” This edition has been updated with new stories. Protecting women's dignity in the conditions of our country, with a different mentality, religious beliefs and type of civilization, is a more complex task, but also much more relevant for us, as evidenced by this book. Addressed to the widest range of readers.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
