Аніта Блейк — яскравий персонаж, який поєднує в собі сарказм, силу та вразливість, що робить її дуже близькою та зрозумілою читачеві. Сюжет наповнений інтригуючими поворотами, які тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Відмінна ідея про аніматорів, які воскрешають мертвих, виявляється не лише цікавою, але й спонукає до роздумів про життя, смерть та моральні межі. Хоча переклад тексту місцями може бути не зовсім досконалим, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією.
