These are autobiographical “Notes of a Seventies Man,” as the author himself called them, in which he talks about his life, how it brought him into the ranks of science fiction writers, how a writer and a historian united in him, how the era influenced him , in which I happened to live. He took his “frivolous” fantasy genre extremely seriously, understanding that any word of the writer grows in the minds of readers, especially if these are young readers or even children who love fantasy so much.
