The authors of this book are former street children themselves. Their childhood and youth fell on a difficult and hungry time, they tried to survive, like thousands of other ragamuffins, who were destined to become beggars, robbers and bandits. It was only a miracle that they did not slide to the very bottom of life. And this miracle was later called the mysterious word “Shkid.”
